    branches interviewed

Brief

MKM is unique, their employees are at the heart of the business and customer relationships are everything.

With such a rich history it felt like the right time for the business to celebrate their values, the story of the founder and CEO as well as celebrating the people around them that make the business what it is today.

Firstly, we wanted something that was tangible, felt like MKM and was able to be shared throughout the business and beyond. It needed to be timeless, so we set about creating a film that would let the business shine.

Culture Capture

Response

We wanted to capture key elements so they were at the forefront of a cultural video that would stand the test of time.

Having worked with the client for over 5 years, we had a core understanding of their values, their people and how they work as an organisation.

We captured a number of branches to give a rounded picture of the business, as well as working with the central services team to understand their role in supporting branches nationwide.

Filming in 4K we shot the day to day business, as well as enhancing the style with key hero shots of long serving members of the team. As well as creating crisp imagery, it was our job to pull together the narrative - what it really meant to be a part of this unique business. In support of the film, we proposed creating printed material that captured the film within a printed book that could be shown to prospective businesses and used internally. We designed the book from nothing, wrote and pulled together all the copy and worked alongside the client to use the best imagery to mirror the business. The book told the story of MKM from it's birth in 1996 to present day, with the option of adding to it year on year as the business grows.

The film and the book was rolled out to employees and shown at the companies virtual conference to promote unity and a sense of belonging.

Both film and book reinforced the organisational culture.

Results

The film and book received positive reviews throughout the business and allowed us to create valuable communication assets not only for the business as a whole, but for recruitment and training purposes as well as hero-ing the companies story during their annual conference.
